In September 2014, we recorded a collection of songs, five of which would comprise our Trophy EP. One of the songs that we didn't include on the EP is titled “Someone”. We felt that it stood separate from the rest of the recordings, and so we are releasing it separately.
The subject of this song is an important one. In recent years, we've seen some of our friends ostracized from their families because of how their sexuality clashes with an unchallenged belief system that their family members so fearfully clutch onto. The song celebrates what it is to be yourself, and how that proudly contradicts a bigoted tradition of beliefs. Furthermore, it argues, that we all have something very fundamental in common.
